Cumbria, July 2011 This plant looks like hedge woundwort but it was growing in the open next to Bassenthwaite Lake. Apparently sylvatica hybridises with marsh woundwort (S palustris) so it is possible that this is an intermediate form. Normally palustris should look considerably paler than this.
