Cobalt Crust (Terana caerulea or Pulcherricium caeruleum). Steve Covey
This, to my mind, is the most spectacular of the resupinate fungi. The cobalt blue has to be seen 'in the flesh' to be truly appreciated - but the colour in my photos hasn't been enhanced in any way! Lydiard is only the 5th site for Wiltshire and was only discovered a couple of weeks ago by our county recorder. This is a mature specimen in it's prime! Lydiard Park, Swindon, Wiltshire, UK. 2012-03-01.
